Partner FAQs

Questions couriers and phlebotomists ask before applying

Straight answers on screening, equipment, availability, accepting jobs, payment and support.

Screening and approval

What does screening include?

Background screening for every partner, plus a driving-record check for couriers and for phlebotomists who transport specimens. Credentials are verified against the role you applied for.

How long does approval take?

It depends on screening turnaround and how complete your documents are. We do not offer instant approval, and submitting an application does not guarantee approval.

Can I apply for both roles?

Yes. Select both on the application. Each role is screened against its own requirements, and you may be approved for one before the other.

Equipment

Do I have to buy equipment?

Kit ordering opens after preliminary approval, with costs and return terms shown clearly. If you already own suitable equipment you can submit it for verification instead. Buying equipment does not imply approval or guarantee assignments.

Do phlebotomists need a centrifuge?

Only for assignments whose receiving laboratory protocol requires processing before transport. It is not part of the standard kit and is never required to apply.

Availability and assignments

Do I set my own availability?

Yes. You set the days, hours and service area you are available for, and you see only eligible opportunities that match your role, qualifications and equipment.

How do I accept a job?

Eligible opportunities appear in the FirstCare app once you are activated. Each shows the windows, handling requirements and scan points before you accept it. Accepting a job is a commitment to complete it as shown.

Is work guaranteed?

No. Assignments depend on customer demand in your area. We do not guarantee volume, earnings or a minimum number of jobs.

Payment and support

How and when am I paid?

Payment terms and the settlement schedule are set out in the partner agreement you complete during onboarding, with payment setup done inside secure onboarding rather than on the public application.

Who do I contact during an assignment?

Live dispatch during staffed hours through the app, with an escalation contact named on every assignment. Support for onboarding and account questions is available by email.

When will the app be available to download?

Activated partners receive app access instructions during onboarding. Download links are published here once they are live.
